Dream School International (DSI) is an outreach program based in Canada that was created and designed to teach the young people of the world how to make their "Impossible" Dreams come true. It is a dynamic, holistic program with a multi-level approach that works within the whole school or grouping of children. Dream School intends to create an exciting and co-operative environment which re-inspires children with hope and faith in the future and strives to prevent high risk behaviours in the later grades and as they come to maturity. Using the metaphor of "Impossible" Dreams as a backdrop, children are taught the skills and awareness necessary to create and hold on to their personal Dreams in life and to be productive community members. Students are assisted and supported in creating an actual group Dream over the course of the school year, to prove to themselves that with the support of the adults in their lives and with good tools in hand, nothing is truly impossible. They are taught the Seven Portals of Dream Building^™ through which we must walk in order to manifest our personal Dreams. Over the course of the minimum three-year commitment we make to each participating Dream School, the children learn six Stepping Stones for Beautiful Dreamers^™ from each of these seven Portals - 14 every school year, for a total of 42. They chart their journey in a special World Citizenship Passport that allows them to collect "visa stickers" for each Stepping Stone learned. Dream School also teaches about the "Dream stealers" of the world: people and circumstances that would, if we allow it, seek to rob us of our Dreams and our self-esteem ~ chief amongst them often, in the end, ourselves.

Dream School and Dream School International was created by Canadian educator and family therapist Jon S. White and has been in use in elementary and secondary schools both in Canada and abroad since its introduction in Ukraine in 1996. It is one of Jon's dreams that Dream School become an integral part of the curriculum of schools and groups of children all over the world, so that as Dreamers come to maturity they take with them the magic and power of their experiences and their belief that Dreams can indeed come true. DSI believes this to be critical, as it is these Dreamers who will define and shape the course of the world's destiny as the new millennium unfolds.

A most important part of Dream School is the selection of the group Dream, by the children themselves, against the backdrop of which they learn the tools of making "Impossible Dreams" come true.
